1208 Silent Sinus Syndrome: Systematic Literature Review and Report of Case Treated with A Customised PEEK Orbital Floor Implant

Abstract Aim Silent sinus syndrome is a rare condition characterised by progressive, painless enophthalmos with subsequent development of hypoglobus due to orbital floor resorption. It caused hypoplasia the ipsilateral maxillary atelectasis. may be associated previous surgery or trauma idiopathic. We describe case 33-year-old female treated customised implant, and review from available literature. Method A total 53 patients diagnosis silent reported in 7 different papers 2003-2020 were compared age, presenting signs symptoms, radiographic findings types treatment provided. Results The ranged ages 19 91, an average age 45.1 years, male split 29:24. most common sign was progressive unilateral enophthalmos, usually absence any ocular symptoms. Treatments included endoscopic antroscopy, repair (prefabricated customised) septoplasty.
